I missed out on the chance to record so many cool moments and wanted to ensure that I wouldn't miss any more. Sure, I could have used NVIDIA ShadowPlay, but I prefer to have more control and customization options. So, I opted to use OBS and these three steps: ensure OBS starts automatically when Windows boots, have it start with admin privileges, and have the replay buffer start with OBS.
